So Here is A Mid Year Update.....................

Wow! Time flies faster and faster each year!! Joseph will be 5 in 3 weeks and Ella is 9 1/2 months old. Joseph just finished up K-4 and loved it. He grew up so much this year! Ella is crawling and pulling up everywhere and would run after her brother if she could. It has been such a joy to watch her interact with him. She can say Dada, Mama, Papa, Bye Bye and wave. She's a mess! We have truly been blessed with 2 beautiful, healthy children. So here is the last few months in pictures.......

We love summertime at our house and are looking forward to beach and pool time all summer long!!!

Getting You Up To Date on 2010!

So it has been hard for me to blog these days....for that matter I can't even keep up with posting pictures on Facebook!! So to catch you up where we left off this summer.......

Ella Nicole was born August 12, 2010 weighing in at 7 lbs 11 oz. She has been a joy and an extremely good baby for that matter. And I think big brother will keep her!!! He loves her and is very protective of her!

A week later Joseph started K4 at Fort Dale Academy. He loves it!! It has been really good for him. I had mixed emotions but we are glad we did it now. He goes all day and absolutely loves Ms. Ellinor. He has made new friends and has grown up really fast on us!

A month following that we moved into the new house! We started building last December and finally moved in the end of September. It was a challenge with a small one and a rowdy 4 year old but we are so loving it! We love having all the room and the kids are doing pretty good upstairs in their rooms. And Joseph is loving the playroom!

I came back to work the second week in November. Needless to say life is quite hectic around our house and there is never a dull moment!! We throughly enjoyed Christmas even though it seems exhausting sometimes. Joseph managed to come down with the flu his first day of Christmas Break but the rest of us have not been sick yet!! So that is good news!!

I will try and do better in the new year but I can't make promises. I just can't get into the whole writing and blogging thing!!!

We made one last beach trip as a family of 3 this summer!! As my due date is fast approaching I figured this was the last time we needed to get this far away! We have had a great weekend and hate to see it come to an end tomorrow when we head home. But lots to do in little time! We teamed up with the McAbee's for most of the weekend. I so enjoyed getting to hang out with them since we do not see them often. The kids had so much fun playing, swimming, boating and eating together! We all had a great time. It was a very laid back weekend with eating, sleeping late, swimming, boating, but most of all hanging out with great friends. Below are a few pics from the past few days! Hope you enjoy!

Update on the Ealum Fam!!

So what has been going on with us??? Well we are still working on the house that we hope to be in come early August. I am now 31 weeks pregnant. We have been to the beach several times. And Baby boy celebrated his 4th birthday this past Sunday!! Needless to say things have been quite busy around our house. Jason and I will celebrate 7 years together on the 28th! Where times goes I do not know. It seems like it goes faster and faster! We went to the beach with my family last week and had a great time. Joseph absolutley loves the beach and boating! Boy am I glad considering I could be a beach bum in the summer!! Baby girl( no firm name yet) is scheduled to be here mid August. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will be in the house. But I am nto sure. There are still several decisions to be made!! It seems like summer is flying by and I hate that b/c it is my favorite time of year! Here are a few pics! I will try to get some of the birthday boy on here soon! I just can't find the time to blog anymore!!

When I got off work on April 15th at noon, Joseph, Grammy and I loaded up and headed South!! We stopped off and shopped a little while before making it to the beach. I could not have asked for better weather. You would have thought it was summer already. Daddy and Granddaddy joined us on Friday as well as Joyce. We boated all day on Saturday and stopped and played in the sand. It has been such a wonderful weekend of good weather. great food, rest, relaxation and good company. I hate to see it come to an end. We will be headed home in the morning to get ready for work on Tuesday and then its off to Bonjovi in Nashville with the girls on Wednesday!!!!! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Long time, No post!!

So let's see its only been about 9 months or more since my last post. I really struggle to find the time to. I love to read everyone else's blog but I am just not much of a writer!! So let's see: we have been quite busy around our house the past few months. We signed a contract to build a house the first of December and found out about a week before Christmas we were expecting Baby #2!! Yes we are VERY excited just a bit shocked but God blesses us in the most amazing ways! Joseph has been so very excited since we found out and has been saying all along it was a girl. And yes he was right.....It's a girl!!!! Got a great checkup today. Can't believe I am almost 21 weeks. Wow where does the time go. Busy season has been very grueling this year so I guess that coupled with chasign a toddler has past the time quickly!! The house is coming along. They are working on getting it dried in and we are getting pretty close. The baby is due 8/22 and the house is scheduled to be ready around the same time. Baby Girl will come at least a week early b/c I am opting for another C-Section. Joseph also will start K4 at Fort Dale around 8/19. So needless to say it will be one busy August but so much fun!! So hopefully that is a brief catchup of where the Ealum's are. I will post a few recent pics for you. Hope all is well with you guys that actually read this!!

Sorry for the posts being out of order. It is getting harder and harder to keep up this and Facebook!! LOL!! Jason, Joseph and I decided to head down to the beach for some time by ourselves and stay until the crowds got there on the 4th. We had a very nice time and the "3" of us celebrated our 6th anniversary together! We spent most of the time on the boat and hanging out on the sandbar islands. On Monday we picked up the Taylor's and boated and had lunch with them. Joseph and Mary Cumbie had a blast. We had gorgeous weather and smooth seas!! It was nice to spend some time with my two boys!! Here are a few pics from the week!!

4th of July Weekend!

Friday we headed to my parents for the weekend. It was nice to be around their house on the 4th of July. I always group up swimming and BBQing for the 4th at my second mom's house and was nice to get back to some of that. We are usually at the beach and decided to go the first weekend and part of the week so it worked out nice. We got to visit with grandparents, aunts, uncles cousins and friends and it was lots of fun and not to mention my dad's wonderful grilling!!!! We swam most of the weekend and ate the rest. On Sunday, Blair was baptized. Such a wonderful blessing and sweet moment and so glad that we were able to be part of that on Sunday. It was a great weekend and I hated to see my vacation come to an end!! I missed seeing little K while I was home this weekend and hope to see her really soon!!! Here are some pics from the weekend!

This past weekend Joseph celebrated his 3rd birthday!! So hard to believe!! We really had a low key weekend. We are having a party later on with another friend of his at our house. Friday Jason's mom dropped Joseph and I off in Centreville while she went and spent the day with Joyce. We swam and celebrated Mimi's birthday with steaks and a cake. The kids even swam that night!!! Saturday we had some family over to celebrate Joseph's birthday and swim. We swam all day!! Joseph was so tired that he slept until 8:30 the next morning. He never does that. He had fun though and it was nice that my grandparents got to visit with him too. I missed seeing little K and hope that Joseph and I get back up that way really soon and see you!! Saturday evening when we got home Jason and I gave him a bike. He is starting to get the hang of it but after riding the gator with no pedaling I think it is a challenge for him. He is so cute on it!! We had a great weekend ending with Father's Day. I couldn't ask for a better father for Joseph. We love you Daddy!! Here are some pics from the weekend!! We are off to the beach at the end of the week for our little time together. I am off next week since Daycare is closed and Jason shuts down but will have to go in some the end of the week. George Family Vacation

Last week my family headed down to Seacrest Beach for some food, fun and sand!! The first part of the week I actually went down with mom and her friends Pat and Paula b/c Dad couldnt' go all week. I stayed with them through Tuesday morning and then drove back and worked two days and then the rest of the clan went down Wednesday evening. We missed little Kensley this year and hope she will be with us next trip!! The kids missed you and have lots of fun things to show you!! We did alot of sunning, playing in the sand and lots of eating!!! It was a very relaxing trip and we all had a great time and did not want to see it come to an end. Some of the wonderful places we ate at were Old Florida Fish House, Pandora's, Hurricane's and Bayou Bills. Old Florida Fish House and Pandora's were probably my favorites. We did eat at Stinky's fish campon Monday night with the girls and it was very good just kind of loud. Mom and I shopped just a little and didn't do too much damage. Lots of fun was had but we did miss you K!! Joseph hopes to play with you soon!! Here are just a couple of pictures from the week!

This past weekend we stayed outside all day on Saturday. Joseph swam in his little pool, played on the swing set, rode his horse, you name it we did it. It was fun to have a lazy Saturday around the house. We will be spending time this week with my family at the beach and so looking forward to it. I thought I would share a few pics from the weekend! Two weeks ago some friends of ours (Gregory's & Meadows) headed out for the beach. We had been planning a trip for a while and finally came up with a weekend to get away. No kids might I add. Don't get me wrong we missed the little stinkers the whole time we were gone but it was nice to have lesisurely dining! Basically we stayed on the boat the entire weekend. Eating lunch while we were out on the water and dinner at night. We had some really good food and great weather while we were there!! I can not thank God enough for putting some really good friends in my life. I knew no one when I moved here and am so thankful for the families that have been placed in our lives. What joy it is to be a mother. The day we had Joseph changed me forever. From that tiny baby to almost 3 I can't believe how much he has grown. I thank God everyday for him! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! Our's was very busy and fun filled!! Friday night we had Relay for Life. What a great event!! Our team consisted of about 13 of us and almost everyone was there with kids it tow. It is such a joy to see the children running, laughing and playing with each other throughout the night. I have been very blessed for the wonderful people God has put in my life here in Butler County, Alabama. Very scary moving and not knowing a soul almost 6 years ago to finding wonderful christian friends you can depend on! I love you guys! Saturday morning, Joseph and I headed out to Centreville to spend the day with Mom since we were going to be here on Sunday. We swam and ate BBQ and visited with other family throughout the day. The kids swam ALL day long with no nap. We headed back south around 7 and Joseph was asleep about 10 minutes into the ride and slept until this morning. He then took a 2 1/2 hour nap. He was worn out!! Today we got up and headed to church and then to Jason's grandmother's afterwards for lunch. It was a very low key day around the house this afternoon which was fine with me. Going to be a busy week this week. I had a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so thankful for my own mother. She has taught me lots, listened lots and cried with me lots and I love you so much Mom!! Centreville Weekend

Joseph and I loaded up and headed to Centreville this past weekend for a visit. I have not actually gotten to go since the first of the year for a whole weekend so I was looking forward to that. Kenlsey was going to be in a little pageant so I knew we could see her in that and Blair play softball. However, Friday afternoon Blair was singing and some how feel out of the swing and fractured/broke a bone in her wrist so needless to say she isn't playing for a couple of weeks. Friday afternoon the kids got in the pool for a little while and enjoyed the freezing cold water. Daddy cooked hamburgers in between going with Marc and Blair to the ER. Saturday was a lazy day. We rode down to the church for a little while b/c Mom's relay team was having a motorcycle ride fundraiser. We came back and hung out around the pool and got some much needed sun. We got ready and headed to watch little K in her pageant. She was the prettiest one of course to me!! She didn't win but is our little winner. She is the best baby!! And so content! I think I have seen her cry maybe once or twice. Really she is so good and crawling around everywhere!! She is precious! We left there and went to Blair's game and watched them play and then headed to get some supper. Sunday we went to church and then headed home. It was a fun weekend and already looking forward to going back soon. Joseph is so loving the pool!!! I hope he is going to be swimming by the end of summer!!! Here are some pics from the weekend!

Tax Season Break 09'

Wow! I survived yet another busy tax season around our house. Don't get me wrong we are still quite busy around the office but at least the very long hours and weekends are over!! It seemed longer and harder this year and maybe it is because with Joseph being older he is much more aware that I am not at home.

When I got off at noon on Wednesday we headed south to the beach for a few days. Serena, Joseph and I left and got down about 5 on Wednedsay. Mom and Blair also joined us since it was her spring break and mom had planned on coming Blair loaded up and came with her too. Of course Joseph loved that!!! And it was nice to get to spend some time with mom too!! Joe and Jason made it down about lunch on Friday. We only had one day of fun in the sun b/c it was extremely windy and cool. However we ate good, shopped some and took the kids to do some things. Just nice being away. Already looking forward to next month. I think we have managed to squeeze in two trips for May!! Yeah!! And the weather should be great. Joseph loved what little bit we got to play in the sand. He didn't swim but Blair did and I know it had to be freezing!!! She said it was !! But when your young you don't care. Saturday night we were able to meet up with Pasha and Brian and some friends of theirs and go to dinner. It was nice to catch up and chat. She and I were both so busy with tax season that we didn't talk that much not even with email!!! So glad that is over!!

Back to the grind today but it will be nice being able to pick Joseph some now!!! We are suppose to meet with Ward again tonight hopefully regarding house plans and I hope we can get the ball rolling on that project this summer!!! I am ready!!!

Easter 2009

Wow! I can't believe this is Joseph's 3rd Easter. It seems like it was just his first. Time goes by so quickly!! As usualy our Sunday morning was hectic and crazy and we had to be at church a few more minutes that we normally do for Sunday School for the Raising of the Cross Ceremony which features the babies-teen agers. It is truly a moving experience. The children all take flowers and walk up front and hand them off to be put on a cross that is then raised while the congregation is singing. It gives me chill bumps each year. Of course Joseph wanted Mama to carry him and not walk. Too many people I guess b/c he is definintely not shy!!! This year Joyce, Jason's cousin was in town and went to church with us. We have a short break in between before our regular service starts with breakfast goodies. After church we headed home for lunch at Jason's parents. After lunch we hid eggs for Joseph and played outside most of the afternoon. He even got on Goldie and rode her!! It was a blessed day and I am so thankful for all the many blessings in my life including my family. I did miss being with my family but we were there in spirit!! We had been up last weekend. I thought I would try and get caught up before the weekend so I could post Easter next week! Last Saturday, we went to Calera for A Day out with Thomas. We met the Lightsey crew and had a fun filled afternoon. It was nice to get to visit with them b/c we don't see them much. The boys were great and enjoyed each others company. Of course Alex and I enjoyed catching up as well. It was a beautiful day and fun was had by all of us!

When we left there we headed to Mimi and Papa's for a visit. We decided since we were so close that we would stay the night there and go to church with them since we would not be back up Easter. Daddy grilled steaks for us Saturday night and fried chicken on Sunday. He is a good cook!! Nannie, Paw-Paw, Jason and Nana all came up on Sunday for lunch and the kids did get out briefly to hunt a few eggs. It was a quick visit but so glad we got to see them since we hadn't been up in a little over a month. Kenlsey is crawling around everyone and has such a cute personality! Such a happy baby!! The Ealum's

Today my Mother in law is celebrating a birthday!! So this past weekend she headed down to the beach with her neice and they hung out and shopped. We all joined Saturday afternoon once I finally got off of work. We ate at Cobalt and had a wonderful dinner and even enjoyed birthday cake. We got up Sunday morning and it was freezing so we really couldn't do anything outside so we left around lunch and stopped at Doc's for some good fried seafood. Joyce, Serena and I rode together and hit the outlets for just a little while for some quick shopping. I was so tired though from working I just didn't have it in me. I am so looking forward to going back April 15th and spending some relaxing days down there. It will be over soon and I can't wait!!! I am ready to have some time with little man in the evenings. Rodeo!!!

Saturday Afternoon we loaded up and headed to Montgomery for the annual rodeo. This is Joseph's second time to attend. We went last year. Jason and his parents used to go every year. I have been with him twice before Joseph and now two times with little man!! We went to eat at Longhorn's in Prattville first. Joseph was really good and ate a huge supper. We left there and headed to the coliseum. As we started walking up he spotted the pony's before we ever did. Of course he wanted to ride them. We had tried this last year and they gave us our money back b/c he would nto get on. That was not the case this year!! He didnt' want to get off and then wanted to ride again!! Needless to say he has already ask his GaGa if he will buy him a pony!! He did really well at the rodeo considering it was 2 1/2 hours long! The only thing he didn't like was that sometimes it was really loud and they had some fireworks and for some reason he is terrified of them. Other than that he was an angel!! We had fun and he is still telling people about it. Below are some pictures from the weekend! Hope you all were able to enjoy the beautiful weather. No it is not the winter storm of 93' that we all loved for the first few days it was a chance for the little ones to play in the snow and it melt and cause no problems. We were at Mom's this weekend as you can see from an earlier post and boy was I glad. Joseph got to see snow and play in it again for the second time. He saw some last year but this year he really had fun. I could hardly drag him in the house!!! We had a great weekend with family and nice to have a little down time on Sunday with the fam. Birthday Beach Weekend

Wow! What a gorgeous weekend I picked to go to the beach. Joseph went down with Grammy and GaGa on Friday b/c I had to work Saturday morning. Jason and I headed down at lunch on Saturday. My parents came down as well and brought Blair with them. Marc and Nikki had gone off for her birthday so Blair stayed with them. They came over and we hung out on Saturday then we all met for dinner at the Louisiana Laginappe. And of course it was wonderful!!!!! It was so nice to enjoy a quiet meal without all the hustle and bustle of the summer crowds. Sunday we went down and played on the beach with my parents and Blair before everyone got ready to leave. We ate at a new place owned by the Caribe called Cobalt for lunch and it was really good. Great views too!! Serena rode back with Joseph and I so we could shop for a bit. Joseph was extremely tired though by 3 and with no nap we didn't get much done but I did pick out a watch for my birthday from Jason and Joseph. We had a really good time and the beautiful weather topped everything off. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming down!!! Joseph had a good time seeing you guys!! Here are some pictures from the weekend!!

Here are a few photos from the weekend! Saturday night Joseph was playing Handy Man and he is seen below in his googles. Then while we were getting ready for church on Sunday he always likes to get my shoes for me. Well I turned around and he had my shoes on!! Too cute and I couldn't help but snap. Could be blackmail one day!! Sunday afternoon we had the Meadows' over to watch the Super Bowl and play. Our children seem to get along really well!! Have a great week and enjoy the pictures. This week has been quite amusing when I would go in to check on Joseph before going to bed. Monday night he went to sleep with his guitar in his hands like he was playing it. Tuesday night I went in to find that he had put his big stuffed Elmo in his bed and he was in our bed asleep! And if that wasn't enough Wednesday night I go in to check on him and he is alseep with his cowboy hat covering his face! It was too funny that I could not share. So here are a few pictures!!

Sweet Cousins!

Last Sunday Joseph and I left after church headed to Centreville. I had to work up there all week but altered our schedule a little so I could go with Mom and Dad to Mrs. Nancy's funeral. Please continue to lift them up in prayer as they try and get back to some normalcy in their lives. Saw lots of people I hadn't seen in a while and got to visit with Alex and Trey for a few minutes. Alex and I have the type relationship that we can pick right up where we last left off. I miss not getting to see her more often. Nana kept Joseph while we were gone and they had a blast.

Monday started my work week in Tuscaloosa. It was a good productive week I must say. I caught up with Pasha twice for lunch and was really good to get to visit and catch up! With work and kids we stay so busy but try to catch quick chats on our way home from work in the evenings.

Joseph had lots of fun with Mimi and Papa. Tuesday he went with them to the eye doctor in Birmingham for a checkup on Mom's eye and I think he entertained everyone there!! Mom said he did really good and she did get a good checkup on her eye. That afternoon he stayed with Nannie and Paw Paw and Jason while Mom got her hair done!! Us and our hair but we don't like to change those appointments I completely relate!! So he made the rounds! That night Papa, Joseph and I went and had supper at the George's while mom had her circle at the house! Thanks Nikki! Mom did have to take him to "Dr. John" as he says b/c he had a really bad cold. He got a good checkup though. On Friday he went with Mimi to the school to watch "Blaira's" as he calls her awards program. She got an award for good behavior! I think he enjoyed it! When they left there he got a treat-- Happy Meal from Mickey D's. Saturday afternoon Mom and I enjoyed a little bit of shopping while he stayed with Papa. We got the kids some really cute things at Lilly Pads and Belk! Saturday night we went to Longhorn's to eat. Despite the long wait the kids were good! After church on Sunday we got all of our stuff packed up and headed home. Daddy was still gone on his annual hunting trip but we will see him today!! We had a really great week with Mimi and Papa and I know Joseph throughly enjoyed it!! Here are a few pictures I thought I would share..............................

Much Prayer...

For all my blogger friends who read this blog just wanted to share.....

A very dear friend of mine's mother in law lost a very short battle to cancer last night. This has only been going on for the past two and half months so very sudden. God will get them through this but please be in much prayer for the Lightsey family as they embark on this journey in their lives. It has really hit home to me and made me realize that life is too short and they we all take too much for granted. Take time to tell the people around you how much you love them. We are such a busy society that sometime we lose sight of the valuable and important things around this. Oh how guilty I am of this as well. I can't possibly understand the pain and grief that they must be feeling but only can imagine and it just doesn't seem right. However, we all know God has a plan for us all and we must put our faith and trust in him. So please keep them in your prayers.

Also, Kensley was hospitalized yesterday with Upper Respiratory and Bronchitis. They are getting to come home today and we hope she get to feeling much better soon and that Mommy, Daddy and Blair remain free from it! So keep them all in your prayers!

Happy New Year to all of you! I hope each and everyone of you had a safe and Happy New Year! I thought I would share a few pictures from our night out! Jason and I went to a party with friends at Greenville Country Club while his parents so graciously kept Joseph for us! We had a great time! Also below is Joseph playing football! He got two football uniforms complete with pads and a helmet for Christmas. Here is one of the uniforms he is posing in below! We have had a very lazy weekend! This was my last time off before starting busy season. Not that I haven't been crazy with work already but it will be 6 days a week pretty soon. Probably before this month is over!! So I have tried to take it easy the past few days! Hope 2009 brings peace, health and happiness to each and everyone one of you and your family!

Christmas Day 2008!!

We began the day by getting up with Joseph to see what Santa brought. Joseph is two and half this year and has really gotten into Christmas this year. We have also been teaching him that it isn't all about Santa. We ask him who's birthday we celebrate on Christmas and he tells us Jesus. We talked about the manger scene we put out all during this holiday season! Happy Birthday Jesus!

Santa brought Joseph a John Deere Gator, table and chairs, play dough, golf clubs, some new rubber boots and PJ's. We really enjoyed seeing the expressions on his face when he came walking into the living room!! Priceless at this age!! My big surprise was a new Canon Rebel Digital camera. This is one of the high tech bigger cameras with the zoom lenses and millions of different settings. I was very surprise and I love it. Thank you boys! Jason has actually taken interest in it as well. I can tell a difference in pictures taken with this one versus my other camera. I think I am really going to enjoy it.

After we did all this we all got ready and headed to Centreville for lunch with Mom's side of the family. I actually think everyone was there this year!! We had a wonderful lunch and great fellowship with each other. We exchanged gifts with Nannie and Paw Paw and the cousins since we already had with my parents. We stayed a while and visited with my parents until we had to leave around 5ish. Joseph didn't make it to the red light in town before he crashed in the car seat. We had to wake him when we arrived at Jason's Granny's house for one last visit. We don't do gifts here except for with his Grandmother so we just come and visit for a while. It was nice to see everyone though!

After an exhausting day we finally got home around 9 and put Joseph in the bed and he crashed. We decided to leave the house alone even though it looked like a bomb exploded from the back door all the way through and tackle it the next day. Jason and I tried to watch a Christmas movie on TV but only managed to make it about 10 minutes before falling asleep.

Christmas 2008 was a memorable and fun one this year. Little ones make it such a joy! Hard to believe another one has come and gone already. Where does time go....................................... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Christmas Eve!!

Christmas Eve is the time set aside to get together with Jason's Mom's side of the family. Since I have been in the family we always do a shrimp boil and finger foods. The shrimp adds a little different taste to the same old foods we eat during the holidays. Despite the nasty weather that night everyone made it safely and lots of food, fun and fellowship were enjoyed. After eating we all exchanged gifts and had a great time seeing what everbody got.

After everyone left, we did our Christmas exchanging with Jason's parents and they gave Joseph his loot!! As you can see in one of the pictures he talked his GaGa into getting out his tool workbench so he could see even though it had to be put together. We finally got Joseph calmed down and told him Santa would not come eat his cookies and drink the milk if he didn't get into the bed. So finally at 11 he was asleep and slept until 7:15 the next morning to see what Santa brought.

George Family Christmas!

We decided to get together with my parents and brother and family the Saturday before Christmas. Even though we go to Centreville on Christmas Day it seems to work well with the kids and they actually know what they have opened. So this year I invited them down to our house. Everyone arrived around lunch and the weather was great so Blair and Joseph and even little Kensley stayed outside a good part of the afternoon. For a late lunch we had hot roast beef and ham sandwhiches, cheese ball, dill dip, bacon wrapped smokies, pepper jelly and cream cheese and several candies and desserts. After getting our belly's full we opened gifts. Everyone seemed to like all their loot they received and the children enjoyed their things. Joseph had a Handy Manny Christmas from my parents received a big truck with tools and an actual Handy Manny talking figure. He also got an elmo guitar, books, a ball to jump on and a Little Einstein piano!! Everyone had a great time and it was nice to visit and not feel as though we were in a hurry to move on to another destination. This was the second year we have done it and seems like it may be a tradition we start with our immediate family. Below are some pictures from the day...........................................

It has been a busy two weeks since I last posted. The week after Thanksgiving Jason went on his first pheasant hunt in Oklahoma. He had a blast and got 5 birds. While he was gone, I had my work Christmas party in Andalusia and we got the tree up and all decorated before he got home. I told him that he purposely planned it so he wouldn't have to put the lights on - ha!! On that Sunday night we had Supper with Santa at church. The kids all came in their PJ's, had supper, read the Polar Express, made crafts and of course saw Santa. Needless to say, Joseph would have no part of him. I didn't think he would!!

Work has been extremely busy already for me. I have been working in Atmore and it makes for very long days!! Tuesday night we had our Christmas Supper Club at Jan's resturant and it was really good. Friday I took headed out bright and early to Montgomery to try and get some shopping done. I did fairly well and don't have too many more things to get. Friday night we had a surprise birthday party for our friend Ann Steiner. Actually it was for her husband Jason to but he didn't know that. She turned 30 this weekend and he will in a couple of weeks. It was fun to get out and visit with friends. Happy Birthday Guys!!

Saturday I attempted to clean up and catch up on housework before Joseph and I left going to pick up the Meadows girls to go see Disney Playhouse Live in Montgomery. Janice, Mary Jen and Caroline rode with us and then we met Katie, Claire, Ann Steiner and Ameila. We all had seats together. The kids had so much fun and really enjoyed the show. It really was cute. I managed to only come out with a Handy Manny hard hat!!

Today has been quite busy it seems. We are always running to be on time for some reason to Sunday School but we always seem to make it. We went to church and then lunch with friends at Jan's. Then we had to run a few errands before finally getting home around 2. Joseph napped and I did some things around the house. Then he and I got ready and went back to church for the Christmas Musical. It was really good and always seems to get me in the Christmas spirit. I can't believe it is 11 days away!

And here we are......... Ready to start a new work week. Going to be another busy one for me but hopefully I a break coming next week!! Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks! What a wonderful Holiday! We all have so much to be thankful for that sometimes I think we don't even know where to begin!! Despite the nasty weather our family had a great holiday and what a way to top it off with a big VICTORY over Auburn 36-0!!! Roll Tide!! Bring it on Gators!!

Wednesday night the George's stopped by our house on the way to the beach and I got to play with little Kensley for a while. She seems to be a very good baby. We sat in the floor almost the whole time playing with one of Joseph's toys! She is sweet. We don't get to see them enough. We didn't see Blair that night b/c she had plans to see her other side of the family that night. But we saw her later on at my mom's.

Thursday we ate lunch with Jason's parents and headed to Centreville. We were able to catch my Dad's family before they got away for a quick visit b/c they had all eaten at my mom's for lunch and we missed that.

Basically we bummed all weekend and visited family. Jason came home on Friday and Joseph and I stayed with my parents. The only shopping that took place was a Wal Mart run about 9:30 Friday night and some around town shopping on Saturday morning. Very low key! Mom and Dad celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on Friday. Sorry we broke up the fun - ha!!

All in all it was a good weekend and I can't complain about Thanksgiving 2008. Now back to grind....................................... And only 25 days to Christmas WOW!!

The other night I caught him in action while we were watching the CMA awards and just had to share with you guys!! He is a mess and I love him more and more each day!!

Finally..... Vegas Update

MGM Grand

So two weeks ago I went to Las Vegas with two co-workers for a class. We built in an extra day to site see and look around. I was amazed when I got there. The flight and time change about killed me the first day because I got up around 3 and didn't go to bed until about 1 there time. So needless to say I was dragging!! We walked alot and went into alot of the casinos. We actually stayed at MGM Grand and our class was at Ceaser's which was absolutely gorgeous. My other favorite was The Venetian which Jason told me I would like. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe for lunch in our hotel one day as well as Toby Keith's Bar and Grill which is in Harrah's. On Wednesday night we went to a really neat Japanese rest. in our hotel called Shabyu I think was how you spelled it. The food was great I had this tempura battered shrimp which was amazing. We also ate at Hard Rock Cafe and a Mexican place in New York New York. One night we just grabbed Pizza in NY, NY which was really good. The highlight for me was that on Wednesday night, Gail and I attended the Elton John concert. He was AMAZING!! I will definitely go back and see him again sometime. I lost a whopping $60 bucks. We went downtown to the old Freeport Street one night which was cool and went up in the Stratosphere. Also, on our free day we went to the wax museum. THis was really cool!! It was a great trip. Very tiring and I missed my boys really bad! By Friday, I was ready to come home. Below are some picture from the trip!!

UA Homecoming 2008

This weekend was homecoming in Tuscaloosa. We decided that we would "attempt" to take Joseph to his first ever Alabama game. So we went to my parents Friday night. Papa was on a golf trip but we enjoyed visiting with Mom. Joseph also got to see Kensley and Blair and spend a little time with them. We miss not getting to see them very much. Saturday morning we got up and got ready and headed to T-Town. We met up with the Carter's on the quad before the game and walked to the game with them. Our tailgate plans didn't quite pan out as we would have liked them to but it is hard with a two year old in tow. Joseph did extremely well and loved the game. We had another family sitting beside us that had a 6 or 7 year old little girl and they sat there and entertained each other! Jason said as long as we were feeding him we were good - ha! Just kidding. He cheered and yelled and shook his shaker. We left with about 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter only because we thought it would be easier with him to get out a little early. We never leave the game early! After about 2 minutes in the car Joseph was alseep. Didn't even wake up when we stopped back by Mom's and slept until we got almost to Greenville. For his first experience he did great and we all had a great time. It was so much fun to see the excitement in his eyes. Who would have thought that 10 years ago when Jason and I were sitting in the stands as students that 10 years later we would be bringing our child! So much fun and so many more fun times to come.

Oh and Roll Tide!! We are #1!!

I leave for Vegas this week so say a prayer for my boys!!

This year we decided Joseph would make a cute cowboy! So Jason' mom made him a vest and chaps and his "Ga Ga" bought him a new winter hat and a shirt. Tuesday night we went to the Gaston's and exchanged goodies with the kids had chili and let the kids run wild. All 20 of them had a great time. Wednesday night we attended Trick or Trunk at church which is an alternative to door to door. Once again Joseph collected way to many treats!! Here are some pics from both nights. We are headed out this afternoon to my parents and will be going to the game tomorrow. Roll Tide!! Hope to have some pics up later on this weekend or next week! Have a great weekend!

Joseph's Overnight Trip

On Friday we met my Mom and my Nannie in Montgomery for Holiday Market. We had fun looking at all the different vendors despite the nasty weather outside. After several hours of that we went to lunch at Logan's in Prattville. Joseph went home with my mom and spent the weekend. From everything I gathered much fun was had by all. They played and Mimi and Papa took Blair and Joseph to Tannehill Haunted Fairyland on Saturday. I think it was extremely crowded and everyone was exhausted but they all had a good time. He went to church with my parents on Sunday and mom said he played really hard after he settled in. I met her and Dad back in Prattville yesterday to pick him up. Jason and I had the house to ourself but didn't really know what to do with ourselves. We were going to a movie Friday night but nothing intriguing was on so we caught up on some shows on the DVR and hit the sack early. I even slept til 9 am!!! I had a wedding reception/party on Saturday afternoon then met Jason at his friend Keith's parents to watch the game. They were home for the first time since having their baby. He is precious!!! And can I get a big Roll Tide!! We went to church on Sunday and then I was off to pick up my man! I hope to have some pictures on here soon whenever Mom emails them to me!!

This week will be busy for us. We only take the kids to Supper club once a year and we do Halloween so they can dress up and exchange treats so that is tomorrow night. Wednesday night we have trunk or treat and Thursday I think we are going to dress him up and take him to the family b/c we are going to Centreville on Friday. Joseph will be attending his first football game we hope on Saturday!! Ha! So needless to say a busy week and weekend and then I leave the following Tuesday for Vegas. I don't see it slowing down anytime soon!!

Joseph's First Trip to the Mountains!

On Wednesday night we loaded up and headed out North to Gatllinburg. We made it to Ft. Payne before stoppping and spent the night there. We got up Thursday morning and stopped off at Rock City and walked around there for a while. Joseph liked it and loved running up and down the steps and through the rocks! We left there and made our way on to Gatlinburg. We arrived at our cabin before the Meadow's so we just hung out and relaxed. After they got there we decided to go grab some dinner so we went in to Gatlinburg and ate at the Greenbrier. Jason and I had eaten here before. It was good but not quite as good as I remember it.

Friday morning we got up and loaded up with our cooler and picnic and headed on a drive through the mountains and over to Cherokee. The weather was rainy and damp so it was hard to get in and out alot with the kids plus it was really foggy so we didn't see as much of the mountains as we wanted to. We stopped at a picnic area and prepared lunch. The kids had a lot of fun doing that. Then we headed on and drove over to Cherokee and spent a little time there looking at the bears, eating fudge and just walking around. We made our way back to our cabin and Janice and I went and got some groceries for the rest of the weekend. We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and just relaxed by the fire on Friday night. It was nice to sit around and visit after the kids were in the bed.

Saturday morning we got up and packed up again and headed to Cades Cove. It took forever but along the way we saw a little black bear playing the woods. Once at Cades Cove we had a picnic lunch, watched deer and just enjoyed the scenery. The kids were able to get out of there car seats since we were going so slow. This was an extremely busy time of year and the foliage was gorgeous but we may opt for later next time so it isn't so crowded. It is just hard with small children. We made our way back and watched the remainder of the Bama game! Roll Tide! Not a pretty win but a win. We got ready and decided to go out for dinner and ate at the Alamo Steakhouse. It was wonderful and the kids were really good!

Sunday we got up and packed up and begin to make our way home. We did stop and let Joseph ride the choo choo train and merry go round b/c that was what he had been talking about. We finally got home around 7 Sunday night. All in all t was a wonderful trip, good time with great friends. The weather was cool which made it nice for a change. The kids were great and we look forward to it again soon! Here are some pictures.......

Quiet Weekend!

We had a relatively quite weekend around the Ealum house this weekend with one exception.....Joseph got the "24 hr" virus on Friday. I normally do not take him to DD's on Friday but I had to go to Montgomery and do some things on Friday. She called as I was leaving to let me know he had been sick. We were up and down all night Friday night. On Saturday he was up and down feeling good some and then bad some. I put him to bed around 8 on Saturday night and he slept until 7:15 Sunday. He woke up his usual happy energetic self on Sunday so I think it is gone. We really didn't do anything this weekend other than catch up on laundry and get the house cleaned up. We leave on Thursday morning headed to Gatlinburg with the Meadows for Joseph's first mountain trip. He has been talking about all weekend! I really hope the leaves have started changing and the weather is cooler there. It has been real rainy and dreary here all weekend. Made for a lazy Sunday.

I thought I would put a few pics up from the fall of last year. Look how much one year makes a difference. My baby is gone and I have a big boy now!!

Friday we headed to Centreville to spend the night with my parents. On Saturday morning we got up and got ready and headed to the game with friends Ann Steiner and Jason her sister and brother in law. We met some more friends on the quad for tailgating and lunch before heading to the game. Joseph stayed with Mimi and Papa and played hard all day long! He had so much fun and was asleep before we ever pulled out of their neighborhood on Saturday night. Then took a three hour nap on Sunday! I think Mimi and Papa's is the "play" house! He loves it!! He had fun playing with cousins Blair and Kensley! Here are a couple of pics:

Elmo Live!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! The weather was great, football was great and Elmo was great!! On Friday, we went to Montgomery with Jason's parents (b/c they were going anyway and thought we would conserve gas - ha!) and went to dr. appt's and shopped. I took Joseph by the Peds b/c he had this awful bump come up on his hiney. They ended up lancing it so to speak and put him on a round of antibotics. He said it was possible to be staph but not to worry it wasn't anything we should worry ourselves over that it was very common and didn't mean we were unclean or anything like that. I also had to get him some Ked tennis shoes and some church shoes b/c I thought it was going to be getting cooler but it seems to be warming up again!

Last night we watched the game with the Gregory's. They have 2 girls - Amelia - almost 4 and Ceil - almost 1. Joseph and Amelia had so much fun playing last night. We had some great food and lots of fun!! They finally gave it up about 5 mintues before the game was over and climbed in Mama's lap and went to sleep! And wow what a game!! Roll Tide!! Can't wait til next weekend we are actually going to the game! Hadn't been to once since LSU last year! Should be fun! Going with the Gregory's.

On Sunday, Janice & Caroline Meadows, Heather & Jackson Scott and Joseph and myself headed out to see Elmo Makes Music in B'ham. We stopped at Mickey D's in Clanton and got lunch and then headed on to the BJCC. Joseph kind of "freaked" out on me to begin with b/c of the loudness. He loved the characters but he gets really scared about loud noises. He finally warmed up to it and they all had a really great time. Despite only 45 minute naps from them all they did exceptionally well! Here are a few pictures from Elmo! Enjoy!

P.S. Our friends Keith and Daphne Williams had their little boy on Monday and Dave and Amanda Crenshaw had theirs on Thursday! Congratulations!!

Growing into such a Big Boy!

It seems like just overnight my baby boy has turned into Mommy's big boy. He is talking extremely well and our rides to and from "DD's" each morning are quite enjoyable. Jason and I just sit at the dinner table some nights in amazement wondering where does he learn all of this from. And just this morning he wanted to read me a book!! Where does time go. We have been completely potty trained - day to night and everything for about 2 months now and have only had a couple of accidents overnight. Somedays though I think he gets a little too big for his "britches" but I guess that is all in being 2. I bought him a fishing pole at Wal Mart on Friday and he has been "fishing" in my flowers all weekend. He loves it. He has even tried to catch the cat - Socks!! Here are a couple of pictures from the weekend. They arent' the best but I did want to update you guys. We go to Elmo next weekend and he keeps asking me when we are gonig. We also have a mountains trip planned with some friends of mine and their children in a few weeks and he hasn't forgotten about that either!! Hope you guys have a great week!

On Thursday night, Joseph and I headed to Centreville for a visit with the family. We only anticipated staying through today but my Uncle Howard passed away yesterday so we will be here until Tuesday. I thought I would share a few pictures we took of the cousins. Blair and Joseph have played all weekend and actually did really well together. I guess the older they get the better they play. Joseph was really sweet with Kensley and was so sweet talking to her and holding her. She is precious!!

We spent part of Labor Day weekend at the beach. The weather ran us home on Sunday afternoon but we had a great day on Saturday and then Saturday night went and watched the game with the McAbee's. This past weekend we went down to the beach for the boat races and for the Sugarland Concert (which was awesome by the way). Here are a few pictures from the trip. I don't have any concert pictures loaded on my computer yet.

I am leaving tonight to head to NYC for a girls trip weekend. So say a prayer for my boys. I am sure they will do great!

Kensley Caroline made her arrival around 6:15 p.m. and weighing in at a whopping 9lbs 3oz. They ended up have to do a C Section but both Mommy and Baby are great. I haven't gotten to hold her yet but got to see her up close in the nursery. Hopefully pics will follow soon!!

I just got word that they are putting Nikki in at 4:00p.m. today to get her ready and her body ready she has made a tiny bit of progress and then will start the drip at 5:00 a.m. in the morning!! Hopefully I can post some pics tomorrow night or THursday!! Keep Marc, Nikki, Blair and the new one in your prayers!

Alabama Cowboy!!

Joseph got this "jerseies" as he calls it for his birthday. He has not wanted to put it on at all. He also has been telling us No Roll Tide at DD's (the lady that keeps him) house. And also even chanted a "War Eagle" the other night. We told him no War Eagle and Momma and Daddy's house - ha! I am sure he will want to be our Auburn fan. Well last night Jason was watching the 1996 Bama V. TN Game and he decided he would like to wear his jersies and put his cowboy hat on. Then he said Mama take picture cheese! So I could not resist!

The new George addition should be her mid week next week. If she doesn't go into labor before next Tuesday she will then be admitted and be induced! Keep them in your prayers and pray for a safe arrival of Kensley Caroline.

Relaxing Weekend!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend around the house this weekend. On Friday Joseph and I bummed around and cleaned house and washed clothes. Saturday we had a birthday party for his friend Caroline Meadows and he enjoyed himself. On Saturday, Jason and I actually had a date night and went to the movies. And yes for those of you who don't know Greenville has a very nice movie theater now 8 picture!! We saw Dark Night. I really didn't think I would like it but to my surprise I really did!! It was really nice to go out like that and such a treat for us!

Sunday was very low key with church and lunch and then just playing around the house. We have just about mastered the potty training issue. I think we are getting close to starting at night. We are also trying to break this bad habit that he wants "Mommy" to lay down with him at night. We tried reading and then our prayers last night but that didn't seem to work. So any suggestions would be great!

The George Family should hopefully have a new addition by the end of the week. Nikki goes to the doctor on Wednesday and we should know then if and when they will induce. We are thinking Thursday or Friday. I am anxious to see how Joseph reacts to all of this!! We'll see!! So maybe I will have some news and pictures by next weekend to share!

Quick Beach Trip!

We decided Thursday night to head to the beach this weekend since nothing else was pressing. Joseph and Grammy and left on Friday morning and Jason and his dad came after work. Saturday we rode the boat all day and met up with the Gaston's however the rain got us about 45 minutes after we stopped the boat late Saturday afternoon.and we didn't get to play very long that afternoon. But we had been on the boat "All Day" as Joseph said. SUnday we saw with the McAbee's and it was fun getting to catch up with them before we left. Here are a few pictures.

As you can see sometimes men do have a softer side!! HA! Joseph was playing in my shoes trying to give me shoes to wear to church on Sunday and he came out with a black and a brown heel of mine on. It was too cute and I had to take his pic!! But you can see above he really is a true boy!!! His Daddy didn't want me taking the picture but I couldn't resist!!!

We have been trying to potty train for about 3 weeks now and I think we are finally getting the hang of it. He didn't do as well last week while I was gone but we had a great weekend. He never wet his "big boy underwear" all weekend! Yeah!! So hard to believe that we are almost out of the diaper phase!! They grow up way to fast!

He was so happy to see me when I picked him up from the sitters on Friday. He ran and jumped into my arms and hugged and kissed all over me! Needless to say we are suffering from separation anxeity again but as each day goes on he will get better. He didn't want me out of his site this weekend though!!

I was so happy to be home!!

On Monday, I left flying to Charleston, SC to meet some other of my collegues for work. I have not been away from Joseph or Jason for an entire week like this. Only for 3 nights. It is becoming very difficult and I miss them tremendously! Joseph even cried a little last night when I talked to him because he wanted his mommy. Daddy also said he didn't sleep well and was beginning to really miss me. We also have been working on potty training and he had been doing really good but had a bad day at the sitters yesterday. I am blaming it on me being gone though. Anyway I just need to blog about how I feel. Guys if you read this I will be home on Friday and can't wait to hold you both in my arms. I love and miss you both soo much!!

I love the Beach!!

We enjoyed a nice trip to the beach this past week while we were off work. We ate, rode the boat and swam all week. We have a beach bum on our hands!! We were able to play and swim with the Gaston, Smiths and Meadows on several different occasions. We didn't want to come back to reality!!! Hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

On Saturday we will be celebrating our "5th" anniversary together. IT has been great and we of course started as 2 but now as 3!! We love our lil man! I love you so much and I am so thankful that I have both my "boys" in my life. Happy Anniversary Jason!! I love you!!

George Beach Trip 2008

Last week we joined up with our families in Seacrest Beach, FL and had our annual trip. We had so much fun and the kids really enjoyed the beach. It was so nice and relaxing and none of us wanted to come home. Here are a few pictures!

Well I can't believe that another year has come and gone. Joseph will be two on Friday the 20th. We had his party this past Saturday. Although the rain and nasty weather forced us inside the kids did not care. Mommy cared more b/c her well thought out party had to be improvised. The kids couldn't play outside on the waterslide or pools but as I said they could have cared less. Blair and Joseph did get to play on them later that evening and we played on it Sunday afternoon. It was a great party and I can't believe he is almost two. We are headed to the beach tonight with my family for the rest of the week and weekend.

Weekend Update!!

Friday night I enjoyed a girls night out to see Sex and the City and attend an after movie party. It was lots of fun and the theater was filled with girls all dressed up!! It was a really good movie and can't wait to see it again!

On Saturday we took the crib out of JOseph's room and put him into a big boy bed as he calls it! He took a nap on it Saturday but then slept in it for the first time Saturday night. He made it until 5:30 Sunday morning yeah!!! HOwever last night he was up around 2:30 but he woke up coughing and we had to give him some cough medicine so we just put him in the bed with us. Yes we have got to break that really bad habit. We will see how it goes over the next few nights. We are having to lay down with him to get him to sleep. I can't believe my baby is almost 2!!

Memorial Day 2008

We spent Memorial Day 08 at Orange Beach. We had a really good time and got to see our friends Pasha and Brian and their kids and Joseph and Blair got to play and swim some as well. Last weekend Joseph and I spent the weekend with my parents (Mimi & Papa)! We had so much fun. On Friday we had lunch with Blair @ school and of course they both loved that. Then Friday afternoon Uncle Marc got the water slide out and the kids played on it and Joseph loved it. Saturday we attended Blair's soccer game and Joseph was all into it. He kept yelling for her and cheering for her and now all we talk about is Blair's "sock" game. Sunday we had a shower for a cousin of our's at Pat's house. We had a wonderful Easter weekend. Mimi and Papa visited us and went to church with us and then we had dinner at our house. MiMi recently bought Joseph some rubber boots to play in the snow in and he insists on wearing them when he and his Daddy go check cows every weekend. So here are a couple of pictures of him wearing his rubber boots and one as we were getting ready for church!! Also here is one of him brushing his teeth which he loves to do!! We will remind him of that in a few years!! He is talking so much each day and comes home with a new word every day!!

I caught Joseph sitting in his Elmo chair the other night and snapped a few pictures . He loves sitting there and watching the Bops or Elmo. He found the shaker and was yelling "Olll Tide!!" We have him trained right. Then this morning I caught himworking on his tractor and car but insisted on wearing his hat. So here ya go!! I can't believe how much he is growing up! And yes he has a boo boo on his nose where he fell off our "our" bed!

Joseph's First Snow!

While staying with Mimi and Papa Joseph got to experience his first snow the weekend of January 19, 2008. He loved it and did not want to come inside. He and Blair loved playing in it. And it was just enough to build a snowman!!

Ty's Birthday and Fire Station

Okay so I am new to all this and not sure if I will stay updated but I will do my best!! 2008 is here and there is almost a month gone already. Time really does fly! Joseph is 19 months old now and is talking really well. I would say he learns a new word almost every day now and is "repeating" lots of things. Watch out what you say! I will try to post some pictures on here if I know how!!
